Which are steps in this manufacturing process?

First of all, we have to take a trip to China, the biggest producer of soy products. The soybean plant belongs to the family of legumes. This plant was considered to have a sacred seed much like rice, wheat, barley or millet. It contains numerous properties in its different usages. It can be used for feeding, in medicines, in cosmetics, or even in clothing manufacturing.

Even though now it is known and exploited worldwide, this vegetable protein plant comes from China. And that is exactly where ZD Zero Defects goes to select its soybeans that will later be part of our ZD panties.
Its crop does not require fertilizers. Once it is harvested, a lot of organic material and nitrogen are left behind on the soil which refurbish its depletion and prepares the land future growths.

After beans are harvested, they are transformed first into flour and then into fiber through bioengineering.

The next stop in our tour is Egypt. Egypt produces the best cotton that there is worldwide: the Gyza Egyptian cotton. It is unique and unmatched by no other due to its extra long fibers achieved thanks to the excellent climate of the region.

Egypt was a land thought to be protected and nourished by its deities. During the rainy season, the Nile rises and overflows resulting in flooded basins and banks. When the level of the water falls, the soil is impregnated with very fertile black silt; in fact, Egypt is also known as Kemet, Black Land. Seeds are then planted in this black silt where they will grow and flourish well nourished and with optimum humidity level and ideal temperature.

The outcome after harvest contains excellent long, thin fibers with the perfect degree of ripeness.

Which is the next step?

The four elements in nature (earth, air, water, and fire through the sun) have collaborated in the development of this fiber. It contains the forces of nature in every one of its cells.

The next step is to join the fibers through a spinning process to become unique thread. This thread is then submitted to other treatments where is mixed with elastane “lycra,” obtaining a high quality material with excellent qualities suited for underwear manufacturing. This material is passed to the dying phase where only completely natural products intervene, and then to the tailors for manual cutting.

Panties are designed by a compilation of those parts cut separately. When they are put together into individual underwear pieces, that’s when your nightmare starts; and I say nightmare because once you try one on, you will want no other…

Our team of expert and highly qualified seamstresses assembles the parts helped by the technologies of the new sawing machines and sewing threads of the highest quality.

What do we get then?

At the end, the outcome that matters is to bring comfort, easy, confidence, style and elegance with our simple lines to our customers and anyone that dares to try them out. Our purpose to produce underwear that feels like second skin is for those who wear to sense a layer of protection on their human skin but not to feel it, just to sense the qualities.
